Social content in SongPilot is three things working together: an account to post to, a recipe describing the kind of short you want, and a campaign that runs it against a release. Getting them in that order saves redoing work.
Connect an account first
Open Social Media. The page is where you Manage your social media accounts and content, and it splits into Accounts, Connect New, Recent Posts and Activity.
Use Connect New to attach a platform. A connected account shows a Connected badge and the handle it is posting as, with View Profile and Disconnect alongside.
Do this before drafting anything. A connected account is what lets SongPilot work against the real thing rather than a placeholder, and it is the part most likely to be missing when something does not post.
Recipes describe the kind of short
Open Templates. The page describes itself as social recipes for automated shorts, and a few starters come with the workspace under Social Recipes.
Two of the starters are “Artwork + song”, a simple promo short using the song’s cover art with the track playing underneath, and “Daily clip reel”, which assembles clips from your library and ends on a fixed card. These are ordinary templates, so you can rename or replace them.
Each carries a Starter badge. Use Edit to adapt one, or the duplicate control to copy it first and keep the original intact. New Template builds one from scratch.
Note what the artwork recipe needs: songs that actually have artwork. A recipe that depends on something your library does not have produces nothing, and that is the usual reason a run comes back empty.
Campaigns run the plan
Open Campaigns, described as where you Manage your promotional campaigns and content strategy. Campaigns sort into Active, Planning and Completed, so the same screen holds what is running now and what is scheduled.
New Campaign starts one. You can also create a campaign at the same time as a release, which saves linking them afterwards and is usually the better route.
Why generated copy sounds generic
The agents read your artist profile before they write. A biography with real specifics produces captions about your act; an empty one produces captions that would fit anybody.
If the drafts feel interchangeable, the fix is the profile, not the prompt.
What to do next
Connect the account, adapt a starter recipe rather than building one, and attach the campaign to the release it promotes. If posts are not going out, check the account still shows Connected before looking at anything else.
