SongPilot separates the people in your act from the people who use the software. They are different lists, and reaching for the wrong one is the usual confusion.
Members and Team are not the same list
Members is who the act is: performers, writers, anyone whose likeness or credits matter. A member does not need a login, and most do not have one.
Team is described on the page as where you Manage your human collaborators and AI agents. It is who works on the account, and it is also where your AI specialists live.
A guitarist who never opens SongPilot is a member. A manager who logs in every day is on the team. Someone can be both.
Give a member a login
If the person is already a member and now needs access, do it from their card on Members. A member without a login shows a Create Account button next to Edit; a member who already has one does not.
Supply an email address and they get a user account tied to that member, so their credits and likeness stay attached to the person rather than to a separate record.
Add someone who is not a member
For a collaborator who is not part of the act, use Add Team Member on Team.
The page has a search box and an All Team Members filter, which is worth knowing once the list grows past a handful.
Control what they can do
Permissions are not set on the person’s card. Open Settings, then Access Management.
Decide this deliberately when you add someone rather than later. It is easier to widen access than to explain why someone could change something they should not have been able to.
What to do next
If you added a member rather than a team member and they cannot sign in, that is the expected behaviour, not a fault: go back to their card on Members and use Create Account. If they have an account and still cannot see something, it is an access question, so check Access Management before anything else.
